Photography: Réclère - Grottes

Here are a few low light photos taken on the Nokia 808 PureView.
I was on a little family trip last week and visited the grotto in Réclère (which is only a few meters away from France, but still in (the french speaking part of) Switzerland).

The pictures were taken inside a cave, so there was not much light. I did my best to adjust the creative settings for the scenes and as you will see, the results between the shots are quite different.

I had the intentions to make this a 808 vs 920 low light comparison, but my little brother managed to fully drain the 920's battery on the way there by playing Halo: Spartan Assault :(

TheOne 808 v4.2 Translation files

TheOne 808 v4.2 Translation files

I changed the way I translate to a different method now. So this time you need a 
- rofs2 = Ui translation
- rofs3 = writing files if EXTRA writing needed, otherwise the standard rofs3 is fine

I can make more files if they are needed, but I changed it, because hardly nobody changes phone languages to others. So 1 Ui should be enough, and writing files with more than 1 writing language can be made anytime.
this saves me work and a lot of internet trafficing for us both
(p.s. my 102gb mediafire account is getting full)

I hope you agree with me about this, as it is a good update to the stuff I used to do before

now grab your files and have fun.

don't forget to share us, twitter us, facebook us and everything else you can think of
do NOT reupload my files, because I want to keep track of how many users there are.

and an occasional donation for beer, cigarettes, and electricity for my computer would be nice

The One Reloaded v4.2.0

After more than a week since the release of v4.1.0, I can provide you a new version!

v4.2.0 brings some fixes for the bugs in previous versions and some new exciting mods.
The feedback you guys provided in the last couple of days was worth a lot, thanks to those reports v4 got even better ;)

The One Reloaded v4.1.1

Here is the first little update for my Nokia 808 PureView Custom firmware v4.1.0.

v4.1.1 is fixing the Gallery plugins for Twitter and Flickr.
I am sorry I had to update my v4.1 so soon, I hope you guys can forgive me that little mistake... sorry to everyone who already downloaded v4.1.0!

The One Reloaded v4.1.0

So it is finally here, my first (final) Custom Firmware for the Nokia 808 PureView based on the latest release v113.010.1508.

Thank you all for your support, suggestions and especially for the intense testing of the early v4.0.x versions!

I think I can proudly say, that v4.1.0 is my best work so far on the Nokia 808 :)

Information about new features in v4.x

Just want to let you know, I am currently running The One Reloaded v4.0.9!

One of the big changes in this version is the new MiniCMD-Script.

On Nokia's original firmware (and so far on all CFW's, except for Delight), a Hard Reset deleted all content on C:\.
By doing this, you will lose important plugins, components and applications, which are sometimes hard to restore... this is why so far, I recommended to reflash instead of hard resetting your phone.

In v4.0.9, the UDA is now empty. After the first boot (or after a hard reset) my script will copy all content that belongs to C:\ via minicmd from Z:\.
This requires a short waiting time and an automatic restart after flashing/hard reset.

By doing this, hard resets won't cause problems anymore!
All content will just be copied again to your C:\ and nothing important gets lost.
So a Hard Reset is now as good as reflashing your firmware ;)
(Of course your personal data/apps/files will still be deleted, that is the point of a Hard Reset.)

Other changes are the now built-in Nokia Store in its latest version and most of the OTA Updates.

All that's left to do now, is integrating the new Nokia widgets and while I am at it, keep my eyes open for some good 3rd party widgets ;)

A final version should become available in the next few days!
Which is why I am not sharing v4.0.9, let's just wait for the final and keep the feedback for v4.0.8 coming ;)

After yesterday's v4.0.7, I uploaded another update for custom firmware v4.x.

v4.0.8 is not the final version, Nokia Store and all the OTA Updates are still not included yet.
This version is here to fix the bugs in v4.0.7

My Nokia 808 PureView got back from repair yesterday and I am not wasting any time to make progress on my custom firmware v4.x. ;)

v4.0.7 is not the final version yet, Nokia Store and all the OTA Updates are still not included yet, but as you can see, we are making progress.

Nokia 808 back from repair, warranty expired :(

I have some good news for you and some bad ones for myself...

Good news first, my Nokia 808 PureView returned from repair today.
I have it right here with me, which means my work on "The One Reloaded v4.x" can now finally continue!

Thanks to everyone who tested v4.0.6 and provided valuable feedback for me.
Your reports and suggestions will help me to improve v4.x ;)
