v3.1.0 is based on Belle FP2 v113.010.1507 and comes with ~570MB free space on C:\
It is not that different from v2.x... pretty much the same Mods are included.
Although there are some things I would like to mention this time.
1506 vs 1507
Both Belle FP2 versions are final!Depending on your region you got one of those two. So if you are on my CFW v2.x (and you do not have any problems, this may not be a "must have" update).
This version is mainly for new users, who already are on 1507. Since we can not downgrade, they had no chance to use my CFW.
Line indicator
The small number "1" is back in the top bar. This is not a bug, but a feature. Some operators allow you to use multiple lines per SIM Card.
I was looking for a firmware that supports this feature, please respect the fact that other people do need this.
I don't need it myself (even though my operator would support it), but I don't think it is a big deal to have this additional icon showing up.
An easy way to get rid of it, is to install the modded sysap.exe by chris_marsh.
(You can find details and downloads for this mod on my Blog)
Translations
If you follow my blog, you should already know, that we now have freaxs_r_us on our team!Since he is also a 808 user himself, I guess we can expect translations for v3.1 very soon.
Please be patient and give him time to work on this new version.
How to update
I don't know why this question comes up so many times, I should add it to the F.A.Q. :)As always I recommend a clean flash!
That means cleaning up E:\ and F:\ and use refurbish to flash your phone.
Some small updates can be installed using "update" in Phoenix. But especially here, where we have a change in the base version, you are better off following my recommendation.
Looking forward to getting this on to Purdy tonight :)
ReplyDeleteI've been getting lockups once every few days (usually while playing bluetooth music, IM chatting with Numbuzz and refreshing Gravity feeds) so I'm hoping that the latest 'official' firmware has addressed this.
Cheers!

ReplyDeleteThanks!
sorry to tell you, those installers were for FP1.
Deletei will rename them to stop the confusion...
did not had time to see why they are not working anymore, probably a conflict with the new editor features in fp2.
I have a problem, I have tried to remove the number 1 with the sysap, I did it with nokia cooker, move the two files to rofs2 and the phone does not come to light, I can say I'm doing wrong? I have the cfw 3.1.0

to be honest, i did not test the modded sysap.exe myself on FP2.

Thanks for your interest friend, I have downloaded from your blog, in paragraph MODS.sysap for the one reload rofs. Two folders, private/10202be9/1fff58f3.cre and sys / bin / sysap and sysap.ldd.He gotten these rofs2 files and the phone is dead. Thanks from Spain
