This mods was created by me a long time ago, I am posting it now to explain it to people who don't know it yet...
If you want to enjoy full webbrowsing like on your desktop, or you want the same internet expirience as on the iphone, you can achieve that with an easy sis-files installation.
You will find that file in my CFW under "c:\_tools\" (or in the "tools" section of my blog).
Make sure the browser is closed and then install the file you want. It will let you choose which User Agent you want to use,of course you can only select one of them!
The "N8 User Agent 3.2/6.0.sis" can be installed as often as you want, no need to uninstall to change the UA, you don't even have to restart your device! Switch the UA in seconds!!
You can easily uninstall it, to restore your original browser user agent!
Those files work on any Symbian device, but the files are unsinged, so sing it or hack you phone to install it.
To explain what this is really doing if give you two examples.
Example I
if you are using the default N8 User Agent "www.kicker.de" will automatically redirect you to the mobile version of that page ("www.kicker.mobi"). If you install my mod and choose the firefox user agent, this won't happen and you will get the full version of www.kicker.de!
Example II
if you are using the firefox user agent and go to "www.youtube.com" you will not get redirected to mobile version. That means the full youtube website will show, but the full version also needs full flash support (symbian doesn't support full flash support!), so most videos won't work!!
You can still go to "m.youtube.com" manually and all videos will run as usual.
Versions
There are currently two versions available for download. The only difference between them, is the amount of available user agents you can choose from...
Personally I prefer v3.2, because those agents are enough for me and I don't have to unmark so many options during the installation.
